Walk and 5k Run for Life

The Walk and 5k Run for Life is a fun, family-friendly event that raises funds to support the work of the Wellspring Life Ministry: caring for women facing unexpected pregnancies, giving them the support they need to choose Life, and sharing the ultimate hope found only in the Gospel.
The Walk and Run for Life is on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Mid Atlantic Community Church at 2485 Davidsonville Rd in Gambrills.
Runners and walkers alike will enjoy this relaxing 5k trail run that winds around the church property through the woods and in open fields.
The Walk and Run features:
- 5k timed trail run (strollers are not permitted on the course)
- Family LIFE Walk (strollers welcome)
- Kids Dash, kids ages 6-7
- Preschool Gallop, for kids ages 4-5
- Toddler Trot, for kids under 3
- Virtual Participation option, for those who cannot join us in person
This is a rain or shine event (we’re praying for sunny skies!) and will not be canceled or postponed.

Raising Support for the Wellspring Life Ministry:
Whether you run the 5k, walk the Life Walk, cheer for your littles in one of the children’s races, or participate from afar as a Virtual Walker, we hope that you join with other supporters of the clinic to raise funds for Wellspring Life Ministry. These funds help make it possible for us to reach women and men in unexpected pregnancies with life-affirming services.
When you register, you create your own personalized FundEasy page that can be shared on Facebook, through email, or however you choose. Make sure to add pictures, share stories about why you support this ministry and encourage others to stand with you for Life.
Invite your family, friends, co-workers, and others to sponsor you and raise funds for Wellspring Life Ministry. Those who raise $150 or more in sponsors (or $150/person for family registrations) will receive a commemorative shirt*.

Awards will be given to Top Fundraising Team, Top Individual Fundraiser, Junior LifeSaver Award (ages 6-12), and Teen LifeSaver Award (ages 13-18).
Registration Details:
Registration options include 5k Runner, Walker, Remote Participant, Toddler Trot, Preschool Gallop, and Kids’ Dash.
5k Runners: Runners entering the 5k pay a registration fee of $45. (Walk-up registration fee is $55.) They will receive a race bib and performance shirt. The finish is electronically timed. Awards will be given to both male and female participants in specific age categories. Runners are encouraged to ask their family and friends to sponsor their efforts and raise funds for the work of the Ministry.
Life Walkers: There is no registration fee for the Life Walk.
Children’s Races: There is no registration fee for the Toddler Trot, Preschool Gallop, or Kids Dash races. All children participating in the kids’ races will receive their own bib and a medal. The top three winners in each category take home a trophy!
Remote Participant: Can’t join us at the event? Join as a remote participant. You can still earn a Walk and Run for Life commemorative shirt by raising $150 or more.
Doggy Friends: Dog-lovers are welcome to bring their four-legged friends to join us at the Walk and Run for Life. Dogs must be friendly and leashed at all times. Please be considerate of others in attendance and to the environment by cleaning up after your pet.
*Shirts are guaranteed only to those runners who register before noon on September 1, and walkers who raise at least $150 in online donations (or $150/person for families) before noon on September 1. A limited number of shirts will be available on the day of the event, on a first-come-first-served basis.
